  • Condition: This beautiful bowl was created 1934-1940 and is in very good condition with minor wear commensurate with the age and usage. It is hand made and hand painted so there are manufacturing imperfections. No chips, cracks or repairs; appears to have minor crazing on the outer bottom (not visible from top). Colors of this beautiful lustre ware are still bright and very appealing.

    #6457 Maling Newcastle on Tyne green Columbine lustre ware oval bowl from 1930's
    Hand Crafted and Hand Painted in England
    Old Castle mark on bottom, along with piece number (6457) and an "R" designating the initial of the painter
    Dimensions are approximately 8.5" long; 5" wide tapering to 3" on ends (which are black and gold); 2.5" deep at deepest on ends and 1.75" deep in center
    An extremely decorative iridescent piece which could be used for serving relishes, sauces or a small serving of vegetables or fruits at the table, as well as holding candy, nuts, keys or soaps
    Rare color and shape
    In very good used condition with no chips or cracks although does have crazing on outside bottom commensurate with age. Please see photos.  It is a hand crafted and hand painted piece so does have manufacturing imperfections.
